Melissa A. Bennis
Melissa A. Bennis is a Director at Davis & Hosfield Consulting LLC. Her focus is on providing damages related expert testimony and consulting services to corporate clients and their counsel primarily for intellectual property related disputes. Her experience includes providing damages analyses, financial and economic consulting and intellectual property portfolio consulting to clients nationwide.
Ms. Bennis has conducted complex financial analyses and created multi-layer damages models in a diverse range of industries for counsel and clients all over the country. Engagements have included such claims as patent, trademark and copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, fraud, antitrust, wrongful termination and tortious interference.
She has prepared reports reflecting professional opinions in these respective areas and assisted trial lawyers in developing strategy and preparing interrogatories, document requests and deposition issues. Ms. Bennis has also participated in the deposition of witnesses, and prepared demonstrative exhibits for trial, and testified to her opinions.
Ms. Bennis graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Finance with an emphasis in Accounting. She holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University with majors in Accounting, Management & Strategy, and Marketing. Ms. Bennis is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the Licensing Executive Society, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and an associate member of the American Bar Association.
