Mark Hosfield is a Principal at Davis & Hosfield Consulting LLC. His practice is focused on providing consulting and expert witness assistance to clients and counsel in commercial disputes. A former controller and Vice President of Finance, he has financial management and operational experience in industry.
Mr. Hosfield has been involved in a variety of economic, business and financial analyses on behalf of clients in disputes including: patent, trademark and copyright infringement, breach of contract, lender liability, lost profits, business valuation, post acquisition disputes, construction cost and delay claims, computer software failure, economic damages in personal injury, wrongful death, employment discrimination and wrongful termination, and financial misrepresentation. He has testified as an expert witness at deposition and trial in both state and federal courts, and at arbitration. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education-Mathematics with a Teaching Minor in Physics from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University – concentrations in finance, accounting and operations management. He has also done coursework in accounting and business law at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Mr. Hosfield is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. He has taught college level accounting and has been a guest lecturer at the graduate level. He is a contributing author to Proving and Pricing Construction Claims, John Wiley & Sons, NY, 1990, Second Edition 1996, and Environmental Dispute Handbook, John Wiley & Sons, NY, 1991.
